It's influence can be felt in various games today. Though most of it's legacy is keeped by studios like Skip and Vanpool, who were founded by the disbanded Lovedelic members. Moon is an obscure yet pretty influencial game. As the boy's love level grows he can stay up later and later and the player can continue exploring further into the world. ![]() In the begining the boy can only stay up for half a day untill he needs to go to sleep, little can be done in that time. ![]() The more he helps the more his love levels grow. The boy helps the people and the monsters and brings some love and joy into to their lives. Instead of regular levels in an RPG where the characters grow stronger to be able to kill stronger beasts, Moon instead uses a love system. The game is frequently described as an anti-RPG. The world is terrorized by a man called the "Hero" who kills innocent monsters and invades people's homes and rubs them of their things. While he's sleeping the TV and video game system turns on by itself and sucks him into the world of the RPG he was playing. During playing his Mom tells him to go to bed and he does so. Moon is about a small boy who's playing an RPG. The game was developed by Lovedelic (a studio founded by ex-SquareSoft employees) and was released in 1997, it was Lovedelic's debut game. In the final confrontation they meet, the player is unable to open the door, and the protagonist (described as "being the highest level") appears, kills everything, and finally takes a swipe and kills the player. The parallels are obvious, with the protagonist of the RPG revealed as the old lady's grandson who is being forced to kill everything due to a curse, is essentially the fallen child/Frisk on a genocide run, and the player is Frisk on a pacifistic run. It is up to the player to befriend the populace and save the souls of the deceased monsters, to collect "love" and open a door that has light sealed behind it. The player then is allowed to travel the world, helping people and watches as the protagonist from the game callously kills wild monsters and steals from innocent civilians. When the sleep they are swept into the same world as the game they were playing, and are immediately adopted by a kind elderly women who recently lost her grandchild. Before the final fight, the player's mother tells them to go to bed. killing monsters and taking items from shops and homes of civilians. In Moon: Remix RPG Adventure, the game begins with the "player" sitting down to play an old-school RPG game (first naming their character) in which the main character goes around doing typical RPG stuff, i.e. If you're not familiar with it, Moon: Remix RPG Adventure was one of three games made by a very smalltime company Love-de-lic, renowned for their complex, surrealistic games.
